JANUARY
2nd Tuesday of January - 8 a.m. - Nosara Civic Association's Information Meeting
Last Tuesday of January - Nosara Civic Association's annual General Assembly meeting. Your membership must be paid in order to vote
1st Week of January - First day of the Escuelita's summer day camp.
8 January 10 a.m. - Annual Meeting of the Friends of Nosara Board of Directors Sunday, at Marlin Bill's Restaurant. Public is encouraged to attend to learn about all the good work done by Friends of Nosara Partner Organizations and about their plans for the coming year;
14 January 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.- Del Mar Academy Scholarship Committee's Summer Under the Stars, featuring live music, bocas and a Silent Auction, will be held at La Luna Restaurant. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased in the school office or call 2682-1211
15 January - Biblioteca David Kitson's annual Patrons' Thank You Party, a special event held to thank the library's core donors who commit $200 or more per year to support its budget. This year's event will be held at the home of Jessica Sheffield and Bram Shook Contact Beverly Kitson for more information. New Patrons welcome.
21 January - Nosara Annual Fashion Show at Estancia Nosara, Silent Fashion Auction to benefit local Schools.
Tickets c2,500. Doors Open 7 pm Show starts at 9 p.m. Featuring local Designers from the Nosara area.

The Escuelita de Nosara has a booth at the Nosara Organic Farmers Market located at Giardino Tropical. Help a child participate in summer day camp by purchasing one of the calendars made by the children at last year's camp. Volunteers also do face painting and give hair cuts for donations. New this year is horseback riding for the children.

?? February - Biblioteca David Kitson's Annual Dinner Theater Benefit will be held at Selva Mar Clubhouse. This event always proves to be a log of fun. Details and date will be here soon. Tickets are $75 each and include dinner and cocktails.

3 February - Nosara Wildlife's 4th Annual Save the Howler Monkey Fundraiser and Auction. Enjoy cocktails, entertainment, and the best bocas in town while supporting a wonderful organization. All funds are used to treat injured wildlife and efforts to protect them from further injury caused by our encroachment into their habitat. February 10:00 a.m. - Del Mar Academy invites you to a tour of the school, learn more about what they do and would like to accomplish in the future, including their Scholarship Program for local children. If you would like to attend but are unable to do so and would like to see the school, please call 2682-1210
APRIL
14 April 4-8 p.m. - Surfing Nosara Foundation's 3rd Annual Auction for the Arts will be held at La Luna restaurant. Bid on works of art created by children from all 10 of the area's schools; as well as by local and international artists. All money raised during this silent auction will be invested back into the public schools via art and learning supplies.
JUNE
3 June - Second Annual BLK-9 Dog Show. Bring your dog (on a leash) a chair, an umbrella, a picnic basket & cooler & get ready to have some fun! Enjoy Hot Dogs, Dog Legs Fried Chicken, Salty Dogs, Greyhounds, and Hair-of-the-Dog Bloody Mary's, all available for a small donation. Pamper your pet - there will be a Dog washer and a Phodographer on site; or visit our Adopt-A-Pet booth to find a new baby or very appreciative older brother or sister. All proceeds benefit Nosara Animal Care the non-profit organization that helps low income families provide quality veterinarian care for their pets, including spaying and neutering.

19 November 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. - Del Mar Academy Scholarship Committee's annual Yard/Garage Sale at Restaurante La Casona. If you have any clean clothing, small appliances or housewares you would like to donate, please drop them off at the Del Mar Academy office November 16-18
3 December 12:00 noon - EXPO Nosara Sostenible at Estancia Nosara. Performances & dancing by over 120 children and adults from the community. Presentations on practicing sustainability and recycling. Arts and crafts by local artisans. Typical C.R. food and music. All Nosara non-profit organizations are invited to share their information with the community. Admission is free.
