FRIENDS OF NOSARA

The town of Nosara is a quiet community with strong local ties and a limited number of people and resources capable of providing for its many social and educational needs.

Friends of Nosara functions as a kind of clearing house for these resources – the center of a network of community donors and volunteers.

Established in 2001, the Friends of Nosara is a U. S. based not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is

".......to create means by which the expatriate community of Nosara, and tourists who visit Nosara, can thank the Costa Rican residents of the community for the openness and warmth with which they have been welcomed to Nosara, and to support projects that enhance the expatriate and local communities and strengthen the relationship between them "

And further to

"support charitable, environmental, educational, cultural, civic and social activities and projects of benefit to the residents of Nosara, Guanacaste, Costa Rica"
